A young police officer chases a child kidnapper through Europe – has she lost her way or is she really close to finding the girl that was kidnapped 6 years ago?

Richi (Moisé Curia) and Lena (Anna Malfatti) are sleeping in their battered camper on a camping area in the Black Forest. The two often visit the local restaurant to eat, under the suspicious gaze of the locals as well as Valentin (Haio von Stetten), the owner. The two are an unusual pair: Richi is in his twenties, Lena barely ten years old. They speak an almost forgotten language – Ladin. The owner of the restaurant is suspicious that something is not right and secretly films the two with a surveillance camera. He also wants to find out, what the nature of their relationship is. The next day both have vanished and he contacts the police.

At the same time Milia (Cosmina Stratan), a police officer from Rome, is searching for culprits in the field of online child-pornography. During her investigation she notices a girl that looks very much like Lena. The girl disappeared from her home, Val Gardena in northern Italy, several years ago. Milia follows the girl’s trail and uncovers a terrible secret.
